We are excited to announce the second edition of the IAKP Kambô Practitioner Training in New Zealand, taking place in the heart of the breathtaking Taranaki region from 3rd to 16th March 2026.

Following the powerful success of our first training in Aotearoa, we return with another opportunity to step onto the transformative path of becoming a certified Kambo practitioner. Over two immersive weeks, you will be guided through a unique blend of traditional wisdom and modern practice, gaining the knowledge, confidence, and experience needed to safely and effectively hold space for others.

About the Training

This IAKP Basic Practitioner Course is a comprehensive introduction to Kambo practice. It offers a balanced curriculum of theory, hands-on application, ceremony, and self-exploration. You will train with internationally respected Master Kambô Practitioners and IAKP teachers, Andrew Mulquin, Jiri Hanus and special guest teacher Tane Mahuta Heke.

Together, they bring deep expertise, years of experience, and an unwavering commitment to the integrity of the Kambo tradition. Their teaching supports you in developing both technical skills and the inner qualities of presence, respect, and responsibility that are essential for this work.

What You Will Learn

  • The history, science, and cultural roots of Kambô
  • Structure and facilitation of ceremony & safe circle holding
  • Rapé, Sananga & Bechette: supporting medicines and their uses
  • Burn and point techniques with practical application
  • Traditional tribal treatments & initiations
  • Self-treatment methods & layering protocols
  • Meridian, chakra, and Marma point applications
  • Basics of Auricular Kambô
  • Specialized treatment protocols for different needs
  • Contraindications, first aid & client safety
  • Sacred tools: rattles, feathers, and smoke
  • Working with spirit, prayer, and song
  • Space-holding, boundaries, and practitioner ethics
  • IAKP Code of Practice

Beyond Training: A Sacred Passage

Alongside its strong foundation in theory and practical skills, this training is also a Rites of passage experience. Participants are supported to step into a new reality as Kambô practitioners, beginning with Sweat Lodge ceremony and culminating in the 3x3 Kambô initiation — a powerful journey of transformation, commitment, and empowerment.
